Available lounges for Everyone in New Chitose Airport: No PriorityPass

As of August 2023, there are no lounges at New Chitose Airport accepting Priority Pass or Lounge Key.(However, if you have a Dragon Pass, you can access the North Lounge in the international terminal.)

Additionally, New Chitose Airport offers paid lounges available for anyone to use, both on domestic and international flights.

In this article, we will introduce the paid lounges at New Chitose Airport. Although these lounges come at a cost, international visitors can use them regardless of airline status.

No Priority Pass or Lounge Key Lounges at New Chitose Airport

There are no lounges for Priority Pass or Lounge Key users, neither in the domestic nor the international terminals.

As of August 2023, Priority Pass is only accepted at the following five airports in Japan:

  • Narita International Airport
  • Haneda International Airport
  • Chubu Centrair International Airport
  • Kansai International Airport
  • Fukuoka International Airport

Only One Lounge for Dragon Pass Holders

If you have a Dragon Pass, you can access the "North Lounge" located in the international terminal building at New Chitose Airport.

Paid Lounge for Domestic Flights at New Chitose Airport

For those using domestic flights at New Chitose Airport, there's just one paid lounge available.

Super Lounge

The lounge is located on the 3rd floor of the domestic terminal building, before baggage check and security.

As you walk from the food court towards the observation deck entrance, you will see the entrance to the lounge.

  • Fee: ¥1,100 (tax included)
  • Children: Under 13 years old are free
  • Hours: 7:00 AM to 8:30 PM
  • Closed: Never (open all year round)
  • Seating capacity: 132 seats

  • Soft drinks are free, while alcoholic beverages, snacks, and bento boxes come at a charge.

Eligible Gold Cards

If you hold a gold card issued by some Japanese credit card companies, you can use the lounge for free. However, since it's rare for international visitors to possess Japanese credit cards, we'll skip those details. Note: Cards issued outside Japan, like Diners Club or Amex, are not accepted.

Paid Lounges for International Flights at New Chitose Airport

At New Chitose Airport, there are two paid lounges available for international travelers.

North Lounge

This lounge is located on the 4th floor of the international passenger terminal building. After passing through immigration and security checks, head towards Gate 66. Using the nearby escalator to reach the 4th floor, you will see the "North Lounge" right in front of you.

  • Hours: 7:30 AM to 9:00 PM
  • Children: Under 13 years old are free
  • Closed: Never (open all year round)
  • Seating capacity: 134 seats (12 of which are smoking seats)

  • Soft drinks are complimentary, while alcoholic beverages are chargeable.

Eligible Credit Cards

Those holding gold cards issued by select Japanese credit card companies can access the lounge for free. However, credit cards issued outside of Japan are generally not accepted.

Traveler's Lounge (Currently Closed)

This lounge is situated on the 3rd floor of the international passenger terminal building, in the departure lobby.

Please note, as of August 2023, the Traveler's Lounge is temporarily closed for business.

Royal Lounge (For Elite Airline Members Only)

The Royal Lounge, located in the international terminal building of New Chitose Airport, is designated for elite members of partner airlines. This lounge is not available for general travelers, even if they are willing to pay.
